Collapsible boxes: rigid on the shelf, flat in the warehouse

Kraft paper

A traditional rigid box is made in its final shape. That is great for the unboxing, but every empty box takes up the same space as a full one, in the truck and on your shelves. A collapsible magnetic box solves that.

How it works

The box arrives flat. To assemble it, you lift the sides into place and close the lid: hidden magnets and a folded base hold it firm. It takes a few seconds and needs no glue or tape. Once assembled, your customer gets the same rigid, premium feel as a fixed box.

Why brands choose it

  • Storage: flat boxes take a fraction of the space of assembled ones, so you can keep more stock in a small studio or fulfilment centre.
  • Shipping your stock: flat cartons are lighter and smaller, which helps when boxes travel a long way to reach you.
  • Bigger formats: apparel, knitwear and large gift sets need large boxes, which is where flat storage saves the most.

When a fixed rigid box is better

If you pack very heavy or very small items, or want an insert glued in place, a fixed rigid gift box or a box with insert may suit you better. Both are made from the same grey board and papers.
