Five ways to make an unboxing feel slower

A great unboxing is not fast. The moments between opening the box and holding the product are what people remember and share. Here are five ways to add those moments.
1. Make the lid work for it
A magnetic lid closes with a soft, satisfying click and opens with one hand. That small resistance tells your customer something good is inside.
2. Add a reveal that moves
A drawer box slides out of its sleeve; a ribbon pull lifts the product up to meet your customer. Both turn opening into a small ceremony.
3. Decide the order of things
Put a note or card on top, the product in the middle and extras underneath. People unpack in layers, so plan what they see first, second and last.
4. Hold everything in place
A product that slides around feels cheap, however nice the box. A fitted insert in card, foam, EVA or velvet keeps everything exactly where you placed it. See the box with insert.
5. Print the inside
Printing inside the lid adds a surprise the moment the box opens: a message, a pattern or your brand colour. Choose “Inside” or “Inside and Outside” print on any box style.
